Fire Levy Information & Community Accountability

Thank You, Seven Hills

On March 31st 2026, the residents of the Seven Hills Fire District approved the Fire Levy increase to help strengthen fire and emergency services for our growing community.

On behalf of our firefighters, Board of Trustee's, and department leadership, we sincerely thank the citizens of Seven Hills for your confidence and support. Your investment helps ensure that our department can continue providing dependable emergency response while preparing for the future needs of our district.

As our community continues to grow, so does the demand for emergency services. The approved levy provides the resources needed to maintain readiness, improve response capabilities, support our volunteer firefighters, and responsibly plan for the future.

Why the Levy Was Needed

The previous annual fire fee remained unchanged since 2016. During that time, the Seven Hills community experienced significant residential growth, along with commercial growth, resulting in steadily increasing demands on emergency services.

Today's fire service extends well beyond fighting structure fires. Our firefighters respond to medical emergencies, vehicle accidents, hazardous conditions, rescue incidents, storm-related emergencies, public service calls, and many other situations requiring immediate response.

At the same time, the cost of operating a modern fire department has continued to rise. Fire apparatus, protective equipment, maintenance, fuel, medical supplies, training, insurance, and facility expenses have all increased substantially over the past decade.

The approved levy provides funding that helps the department continue meeting these challenges while maintaining reliable emergency services for the citizens of Seven Hills.

How Levy Funds Support Your Fire Department

Revenue generated through the Fire Levy helps support many of the essential services that keep Seven Hills Fire District prepared to respond when our community needs us most.

Funding supports areas including:

  • Expand paid staffing during peak daytime hours to improve response capability when volunteer availability is traditionally lower.

  • Plan for a future fire station location to better serve our growing district as development and service demands continue to increase.

  • Improve emergency response times through strategic investments in personnel, equipment, and operational readiness.

  • Enhance emergency services across our growing district by providing the resources needed to meet increasing call volume and community needs.

  • Maintain and replace fire apparatus, equipment, and firefighter protective gear to ensure safe and reliable operations.

  • Support firefighter training, certifications, and ongoing readiness to provide the highest level of service to our community.

  • Invest in facility improvements, maintenance, and future capital projects that strengthen long-term emergency response capabilities.

These investments strengthen the department's ability to safely and effectively serve our growing community.

Our Commitment to Accountability

The Seven Hills Fire District is committed to responsible stewardship of every public dollar entrusted to us.

We believe transparency builds trust, and we remain committed to keeping our community informed about how levy funds are used.

Our commitment includes:

  • Annual operating budgets available to the public

  • Ongoing communication with the citizens we serve

Additional financial information can be found on the Fiscal Year section of our website.

Community Growth Continues

Seven Hills has experienced remarkable growth over the past decade, with new neighborhoods, businesses, and families continuing to choose our community.

That growth brings increased demand for emergency services. Every new home, business, roadway, and development adds to the responsibility of protecting lives and property throughout our district.

The Fire Levy helps ensure that Seven Hills Fire District can continue growing alongside the community while maintaining the high level of service our residents expect.

Looking Ahead

The approval of the Fire Levy represents an investment in the future of our community.

As projects are completed and improvements are made, this page will be updated to highlight equipment purchases, operational enhancements, staffing improvements, and other initiatives made possible through the continued support of our residents.

We remain committed to providing professional, dependable, and transparent service to every citizen of the Seven Hills Fire District.

Thank you again for your continued trust and support.
