| Today, we join our nation in celebrating National Coast Guard Day, a special occasion that honors the outstanding men and women who serve in the United States Coast Guard. While this day is primarily an internal activity for active duty Coast Guard personnel, civilian members, reservists, retirees, auxiliarists, and dependents, we can't help but express our gratitude and admiration for their unwavering service to our country.
To the Coasties who also volunteer in fire departments all over, we want to send a heartfelt thank you. Your dedication to both the Coast Guard and firefighting showcases an exceptional commitment to keeping our communities safe on multiple fronts.
Today, let's take a moment to appreciate the men and women of the Coast Guard who protect our waters and shores. Your bravery and selflessness do not go unnoticed, and we are incredibly proud to work alongside such outstanding individuals.
Thank you for your service, sacrifice, and the vital role you play in safeguarding our nation. Happy National Coast Guard Day!
